Toluu Learns to Hover

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

picture-17

Caleb has added a new feature to his socialized RSS feed sharing app, Toluu today.  Now, anywhere in Toluu when you see a feed name and you hover your cursor over it, you will get a pop-up dialog with the feed name and the last 5 articles titles.

If you click on the article titles, you will be transported directly to the article in question.

This new feature will reduce the amount of context switching you will need to do as your peruse feeds in your friends list and other places.

If you haven’t registered at Toluu yet, it’s quick and easy to get started.  You can always email me (phil – at – scribkin) for an invite!

New Flickr Features?

Monday, July 7th, 2008

New Flickr FeaturesDid Flickr just add a few new features?  Check out the screenshot I made.. I don’t remember this zoom feature, or the new comment include features..

Although I forgot to grab it in the screenshot, there’s also some quick links for bold and italic within the comment block as well.

Add to this integration with Picnik, and we are seeing a bunch of new features being added fairly rapidly to this platform.

Update: Never mind, my excitement overcame my rational brain for a few minutes.  I had forgotten I had installed the Firefox addon Better Flickr from Lifehacker earlier today.

Please, resume your normal lives.  Thanks.

You Choose the Target!

target logo on TV Ok, I’m going to try to keep this short and sweet. But first, let me tell you why.

I believe I have a problem, perhaps genetic, that does not allow me to make sentences shorter than originally written or determine when an article has gone on for too long, resulting in things like paragraph-long sentences, long meandering digressions, people having to take a bathroom break before finishing one of my articles, and browsers crashing as they run out of memory.

That said, now I have even less space to write this article. Ok, let’s get to it.

buzz-up-button Do you have a Yahoo! login?  I bet you do.  Everyone has one.  And if you do, you have everything you need in order to participate in Yahoo! Buzz

I used to be really down on the service, with its exclusivity and the huge hype that led up to its unveiling.  But recently, I’ve changed my mind.

In fact, I’m ready to turn 180 degrees.  Why?  Read on.
